El Cariso Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Sylmar, California.
El Cariso Golf Course first opened for play in 1977.The course was designed by Robert Muir Graves.
Par for the course is 62. From the back tees the course plays to 4,493 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 3,540 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-4 that plays to 397 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 127 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 389 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 140 yard par-3.

This Executive Course is far more challenging and enjoyable to play that it's par 62 scorecard would indicate! Long hitters... BEWARE of LAKES!, Short Hitters beware of BEACH FRONT (AKA sand traps)! Good shots are rewarded!

Nice par 62 course. When the greens are in good shape it can be a challenge due to tricky breaks and speed. Generally well maintained. Just spent a lot of money on improvements. Practice facilities are excellent... recently rebuilt range. Walkers only face a couple of uphill grades. Plays in about 3.5 to 4 hours. No par 5s. OB or water threaten some tee shots. Allows five-somes.
